Lifestyle Newborn: Baby Veronica

Fresh 48 | Tempe, AZ

A week ago I visited this sweet family and captured some beautiful lifestyle shots of their family. Sweet Veronica was one week old at the time of these photos and her big sister couldn't have been more proud of having a new little baby in the house. She wanted to help with every part of this shoot - and it was adorable!! <3 <3

Little Ellie was great at saying "cheese" and she was so sweet. When Baby Veronica would start to fuss, Ellie would get really serious and give her a sympathetic hug and kiss. Ohh the sister love was so evident already. She read her new baby sister a book, she watched her momma feed her new sister with awe, she wanted to share her toys. Ohh goodness - it was just so soo adorable.

Shortly after I came home from this session, Amanda (the mom) texted me that the picture below made her cry happy tears. Of course, hearing that she loved the sneak peak just made my heart sing -- but I couldn't help but feel so honored to be a part of this special moment in their family's life. They chose me to capture these sweet moments that pass too quickly -- and that is an honor, privilege, and a huge responsibility. I just love every second of it!

This little one is just so dreamy. I couldn't handle it. Her eyes, her little nose, her sweet wrinkly newborn toes. I just could not handle it!

I'm not sure why, but I always get a bit emotional after doing newborn sessions. I'm not sure if it's the beauty or the overwhelming joy that gets me - but I just always come home so at peace with the world. When I get the privilege to come into such an intimate moment in a family's life and capture these little moments between mom + baby, dad + daughter, or sibling + baby, my heart is so full of hope for the future. It is families like this one that will change the world through the love they have for their spouse and their children. Love like this changes you. It moves you. It sanctifies you.

Congratulations sweet family of four! It is so evident that your hearts are overflowing with love for your new little one. Having two little ones will change your family in so many ways, but never forget... those changes are only for the better. I cannot wait to share the rest of these photos with you guys, but for now - enjoy these highlights!

All the love,
Nat Marie
